Focused on Immigration Law
Fernand Majid, a distinguished immigration lawyer, graduated from Acadia University with a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in International Relations. He continued his education in law at the University of New Brunswick in eastern Canada. After completing his studies, Mr. Majid joined a Toronto law firm, where he focused on providing legal services related to immigration matters for both corporations and private individuals. Over the years, he expanded his practice to include real estate, litigation, business, and family law, but has chosen to refocus on immigration law once again.
Mr. Majid's accomplishments and professional affiliations are extensive. In addition to being a member of the Law Society of Ontario, he belongs to the Canadian Immigration Lawyer's Association, the Advocate's Society, the Peel Law Association, and the Canadian Bar Association. Previously, he served on the Board of Governors of the Muslim Lawyer's Association and held an executive position in the Immigration Section of the Ontario Bar Association. A frequent contributor to various ethnic publications, Fernand Majid has authored numerous articles on immigration issues and co-hosted a weekly national television show that provided insights into Canadian immigration law. Proficient in both English and French, he also speaks Urdu.
